I'm not much for tooting my own horn and I'm not sure what people would actually like to know
biographically wise so here is a brief overview. If you have any questions please let me know.
I have lived in Nevada
since 1975, when I moved here with my parents at the age
of five. I grew up in Zephyr Cove, which is on the south Nevada
side of Lake Tahoe.
We lived there until I graduated from Whittell High School
in 1989. At that point, my parents
moved away to Las Vegas
when my dad got a job managing the Angel Park Golf Club and I went away to college.
I was always a good student and did especially well in math and science and computer
related subjects. This led me to choose Electrical Engineering as my major in college.
I attended the University of Southern California
and received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1993.
After graduation I came back to Las Vegas. I began working soon afterwards for Mikohn Gaming
Corporation and have been there ever since except now it's called Progressive Gaming
International Corporation (quite a mouthful). I always tell people that
I'm a computer programmer at a company that makes stuff for casinos but I guess
the more hoity-toity definition is that I'm a Software Manager for the Systems Division
of a multi-national gaming company. I have been at the company
now for 14 years.
I think I am
well known amongst the people I know for being honest and being someone you can
depend on regardless of the situation.
I have always been an excellent problem solver and I am very good at seeing all
the sides of an issue.
I love Nevada
and can't imagine living anywhere else.
I think this is the most free
and most unique State in the United States. To get the opportunity to actually
be a part of the State's government and help keep it that
way would make me very
proud.
